The competition is actually open to public in the region from ages 15-35. Which is why we’re excited about this coz we hope thru this competition, we can seek new blood out and help them join us in writing for the music industry!

So if U’re one of those who aspire to be a professional songwriter… We’ll be at the road show at 5th March, 12pm. What u waiting for? Come la! Join la! =D

So how was it?

Fun lah! And my fellow judges brother, Jia Ming 老师 kept ‘suanning’ me saying 哇!他用‘挣扎’leehhh, 哇!他说‘现象’leeehhh…

Hahahah, so yeaahhh, it’s all cool, bring it on!

Unity is strength

I’m not sure if I used this as a blog title before, but aahh whatever =D. Yesterday met up with Xu Ru Yun with Xiaohan and turned out to be a surprise gathering of other guests including Gigi Leung, Charlie Yeung and 多年不见的 Wise Brothers(Si Song and Wei Song老师).

Random topics were passed around like eating(err, not much interest for me there), where to party at night, book publishing and stuff. But what really set me thinking is when Wei Song 老师 discussed about the music scene is changing too much, everybody’s gotta unite to try our best to keep it going. I see this as a healthy trend emerging at an unhealthy time for music.

‘Unity is strength’ was my primary school motto and it’s funny that it still holds true to this day.

I feel that everyone coming together, sharing ideas, is the only way we can bring the next generation of aspiring music makers to realise their dreams. Otherwise it’ll be a shame if the walls come crashing down on them.

So if u asked me, how does it feel to make a living out of your passion for more than 10 years?

Amazing.

Onto the next 10!

佛山

I think I’m really culture-less and am ashamed of it! When I wrote on my Facebook that I’m going to 佛山, quite a few people said ‘Wong Fei Hung!’ And I was like ‘huh’?

佛山 was the last China stop of the 花的拼图 tour. After that we’ll be heading to Indonesia, Taiwan, Toronto, America, Singapore and Malaysia.

The past few hectic months of moving all around China, being exposed to so much heritage, culture plus the powerful dynamic growth of the giant cities has awoke me to a fact.

I’m proud to be Chinese! Happy New Year guys!
